Vatican Museum image selected for inclusion on Schmap Rome!

Auschwitz and Birkenau

During my recent trip to Krakow in Poland, I visited the Auschwitz and Birkenau memorial. The photographs from this trip are uploaded to Flickr.

Krakow, Poland.

Photo's of Krakow in Poland have been uploaded to Flickr. Krakow reminded me a lot of Prague, with stunning architecture. The photo's are of the Old Town, Kazimierz which features the Jewish quarter, Wawel Hill, Okol and Stradom, and the Salt Mine in Wieliczka, which is around 10km outside of Krakow.

Varna, Bulgaria.

Photo's of Varna in Bulgaria and the surrounding area are now uploaded to Flickr. This includes photo's of the Stone Forest which is about 11 miles West of Varna. Spread over a barren landscape, the Stone Forest is a collection of tree-like stone columns, some as high as 20ft. The stones are believed to be 50 million years old and, whilst several theories have been offered, it is generally agreed that they formed when separate layers of chalk merged through a layer of sand.

The photo collection also features photo's of Varna itself, and Sveti Konstantin.

Beached boat in Hove

I've now uploaded photo's of the boat that was reported beached in Hove to Flickr. There are also some pictures of the King Alfred Leisure Centre, and beach in general.

Photo's of Glasgow

Photo's from a recent weekend away in Glasgow are now up on my Flickr site. This includes some of the interior of Kelvingrove Hall, and the Expressions exhibit that was showing at the time.

Surfer's, Newport Beach and LA

Some photo's from a recent work trip to Irvine, California are now uploaded to my Flickr site. These include sunsets at Newport Beach, and Venice Beach in LA. They also include a number of photo's of surfers at Venice Beach.

Hove and Brighton in snowstorm!

Some photographs from the recent snowstorm in Brighton and Hove (March) are now viewable on my Flickr site. These include some of Hove streets, the beach and West Pier in snow. Of particular favourite to me are "Man on Beach in Snow" and "West Pier Snow". Yes, I know, not exactly imaginative titles!
